Spiritual Direction Supervision
With Diane Bricker
As a practicing spiritual director, are you sometimes not as present to your directees as you wish to be? Do you long to discuss how you might have better served a directee in a particular direction session?
You may wish to engage in regular, or occasional, supervision to help you better serve your directees. Supervision allows a director a safe and sacred space in which to explore uncomfortable or perplexing feelings that arose during a direction session, or to savor and more fully absorb the movement of the Spirit that occurred during a session. It also allows you to hone skills that enhance the contemplative and evocative nature of a direction session, and to ask a variety of consultation questions.
Supervision is available in person in Dallas or remotely, either individually, as the need arises, or in a small group of four to five people that meets monthly. In a group you will have the opportunity to present a case every few months, to profit from listening to others present cases, and to form relationships with other directors.
